Account Feed Settings

MadKudu uses AI to prioritize accounts in the Feed, and the logic behind it is fully transparent and completely controllable by admins! This is done through the Feed Settings page, where you can fine-tune the logic behind account prioritization.

The settings will give you visibility into the signals being used (for example, demo requests, website visits, or spiking engagement) and lets you understand why accounts are sorted a certain way.

By default, MadKudu uses AI to prioritize the feed based recency and frequency of signals. We believe AI should do the heavy lifting, but humans (like you) have expertise and real-world context that models can’t fully capture. That’s why Feed Settings gives you the ability to override the default logic when needed.

This way, you get the best of both worlds: AI-driven prioritization, with humans in the loop!

For example: If you think a signal “Hiring Enterprise Sales” should have a stronger importance in the prioritization while the AI-based analysis gives a lower importance, then you have the ability to bump it’s importance.

With Feed Settings, you can:

  • Adjust the weight of different signals

  • Understand why an account appeared in the Feed

  • Make sure an AE’s Feed reflects what they care about and find relevant

Unlike some other tools, MadKudu makes this prioritization fully transparent with Feed Settings, so you and your sellers never have to guess why an account showed up. It is no black box, and you are in control!

How to use Feed Settings

  • You can access it by navigating to the Feed, and finding the blue Feed Settings button at the top of the page

  • Or, you can also access it from your profile icon in the top righthand corner, under the Organization Settings tab

  • In the top righthand corner, click the Edit button

  • Make changes to the appropriate columns: Lifespan, Importance, Occurrence Cap

    • Lifespan: How long a signal impacts the score after it first happens

For example: If a signal like “Visited Pricing Page” has a lifespan of 7 days, that signal will only contribute to the account’s score for 7 days after the first visit — after that, it stops contributing to the priority.

    • Importance: How much weight the signal carries in prioritization

For example: You might increase the importance of "Hiring Enterprise Sales" if that’s a strong sales trigger for your team.

    • Occurrence cap: How many times a repeated signal counts toward scoring

For example: If "Website Visit" is capped at 3, only the first 3 visits will impact scoring — the rest won’t overinflate the account’s priority.

  • Before saving your changes, you can preview the Feed’s configuration to see how your edits will change the prioritization

  • Click on the Preview Feed button to open the preview

  • Check out the new Feed configuration

  • If you are comfortable with your changes, click the Save button at the top of the page

Who will be impacted by edits to the Feed Settings?

Any changes to the feed settings will be reflected across your entire organization.

  • In the Feed Settings, you have the option to filter the playbooks you are looking at based on ownership (All, Organization, Team, User). You can do this by toggling the Type columns.

  • You can use the Search bar to locate a specific playbook, email, or team.

  • You can also filter your view based on team member in the Owner dropdown menu.
