How to score a Target Account List with RGIP Scoring through Zapier?

Prev Next

You've narrowed down a target account list between Sales and Marketing. Everybody has their own opinion, analysis, or gut feeling on it. You've created a model in RGIP Scoring to validate your list. Here's a way to score this list via Zapier and Google Sheets without having to push this model to all your Salesforce accounts.

As a ballpark, Zapier would score 2,500 accounts in 6min but Zapier may start holding records with "too much". If your list is much larger we recommend using another method, reach out to us!

Pre-requisites

  • You have a Zapier account

  • You have a RGIP account with at least one Customer Fit model live

  • You can use Google Sheets. If not, adapt the Zap to your spreadsheet solution

Step 1: Extract your Target Account list in a Google Sheet

  1. Open this Google Sheet template

  2. Make a Copy

  3. Add to the first column Domain the list of domains of your target accounts

  4. Make sure the column "email" gets populated automatically. If not drag the formula

Step 2: Create a Zapier Google Sheet > RGIP > Google Sheet

Option 1: Use a pre-made Zapier template

You can use this template Zap: https://zapier.com/shared/b7bdf0e996fa8767c9ce6ee72e0df8395f8d8b04

Option 2: Create the Zap manually

Create the following Zap manually.

Select a Google Sheets Trigger

  • Google Sheets > New Spreadsheet Row in Google Sheet

    • Select the spreadsheet you just created in Step 1.

Add a RGIP Action

  • RGIP > Find Person and Company information

    • To connect your RGIP account, click "Connect a new account", a pop-up will appear

    • Find your API key in app.madkudu.com > Integrations > API (top left)

    • In Email, map the column Email from the spreadsheet

Add a Google Sheets Action

  • Google Sheet > Update Spreadsheet Row

    • Select the same spreadsheet, and for Row, select the spreadsheet Row Number

    • Map the fields between your spreadsheet and RGIP Scoring's email, Customer Fit segment, score and signals.

      • Result email

      • Customer Fit Segment

      • Customer Fit Score

      • Customer Fit Segment

If you have multiple Customer Fit models, the secondary ones will display in the list of possible fields with their Model name

Finalize your Zap

        • Test and Publish your Zap

        • You'll get a pop-up, click on Transfer existing data so your list gets a score now

        • In the Transfer page, wait for Zapier to collect all the records then select them all and start the transfer.

          • If you need to restart the transfer of the Zap, go to the list of Zap, click "..." and scroll to the option "Transfer existing data"

It will take a few minutes to an hour depending on the number of domains to score. You can follow the progress in Zapier or the Google Sheet directly.

Troubleshooting

If some domains aren't scored, check in your Zapier account > Zap History > Zap runs if some zaps are held with "too much data"

If so replay them (available on Zapier paid plan only)
