Who is this for?
HG Insights Admins
With the Edit Inputs feature, admin can steer the research focus and narrative of every new Account Brief. Admins can fine-tune two key levers (Value Props and Search Queries) to ensure the brief focuses on the most relevant news articles and personas when researching each account.
What can you edit?
Value Props – Short, persona-based statements that steer the account brief’s narrative. You can change both the persona names, and the description of how your product helps the persona.
Search Queries – Google-style searches strings that guide where and what to search.
Example: funding, mergers, security breach, etc.
Why edit the brief?
By default, HG Insights populates the value props and search queries for every tenant, so the brief is already tailored to your business.
However, you may have specific news or personas you are interested in that can help make the brief even more specific for your sellers.
Tailoring the value props and search queries ensures every account brief:
Surfaces high-impact signals – funding rounds, partnerships, hiring sprees, security news, and more.
Consistent messaging: Establishes a repeatable narrative across different accounts.
Adapts to changes in your business: Update the brief inputs once (for example, adding “AI transformations” as a search query) and all future briefs reflect it.
How it works
Your edits apply the next time a brief is generated (new or regenerated).
Edits are organization-wide, and will apply to all briefs once you click Save (new or regenerated).
How to edit inputs
Open the Account Brief tab for any account, and generate a brief
Click Edit Inputs (pencil icon near the top).

FAQ
Are account brief edits organization-wide or user-specific?
Edits are organization-wide and apply only to briefs generated after you click Save.
Why are my value props and search queries already populated?
By default, HG Insights populates your value props with personas relevant to your business, as well as 3 relevant search queries (funding, company news, filings). With these fields already set, your sellers can generate tailored briefs from day one.
How many value props and search queries should I keep?
You may store up to 10 of each, but most teams get the best brief results with around five or six well-chosen entries.
