Create a Competitive Takeout View

Your Competitive Takeout View is the key resource your sellers need to see all accounts using a specific competitor. This view powers your displacement campaign and helps reps know exactly who to target.

Follow the steps below to create your view with our Prospecting Assistant.

How to Build Your View

  1. Login to RGIP and open the Competitive Takeout use case.

  1. Click “Create a takeout campaign” to view the three Competitive Takeout agents.

  1. If you do not have a competitor already in mind, use the Competitive Analyst agent to identify the competitor you want to displace.

  2. Click the Prospecting Assistant to go into Sales Copilot.

  1. You will land in the Universe of accounts view.

If Salesforce is connected, you may also choose My Book of accounts to build your list based on your territory.

  1. Click the blue “+ New Rule” button to add a filter

  2. Search for the filter “Product Name” and select the product you want to displace. Example: Product Name is Splunk.

  1. Add a second rule by searching for “Last Verified At”

This confirms the product is still actively used by the account. For example:

  • Let’s use filter to check that the product is verified within the last 6 months

  • If today is November 1, 2025, select “Last Verified At more than May 1, 2025”

  1. Add a third rule “First Verified At” to help approximate renewal timing.

We use this filter as a stand-in for when the competitor contract began, which helps estimate when renewal is likely approaching. For example:

  • If today is November 1, 2025, select “First Verified At more than May 1, 2024”

  1. Use the blue “Save View” button to save your view. Give it an appropriate name, such as “Companies Renewing with Splunk”

  1. Your newly saved view will now appear under the My Views section.

  1. Your Competitive Takeout View is now live! Feel free to share it with sellers using the “Share view” button at the top righthand corner.
