# Mixpanel

Send your web traffic and in-app data to HG Insights to enrich your behavioral scoring and understand who are your most engaged users.

## **What does this integration do?**

This integration allows HG Insights to access your web analytics data. More specifically:

- **People profiles**
- **Events** (eg. user 123 did 'add user' on 05/28/2016 11:32:54)

Mixpanel data is used to find who is ready to buy based on their level of activity on your website or product.

## **How to set it up?**

1. Log in to your **Mixpanel** account.
2. Go to **Settings** > **Personal** **Settings**

3. Copy the values for **API Key** and **API Secret.******If you'd like to only sync a specific project, you can use just its API secret to find in **Project** Settings ![](https://cdn.document360.io/a55e7ea5-b8ac-4456-874d-10cc92097370/Images/Documentation/image(222).png)
4. Log into HG Insights
5. Go to **Integrations******then******Mixpanel![mceclip0.png](https://support.madkudu.com/hc/article_attachments/4404139027085)**

7. Click **Save**

This is it! HG Insights will start pulling your Mixpanel data immediately.

### FAQ

#### Is it possible to filter what Madkudu pulls from the Mixpanel instance?

For regulatory purposes, or if your Mixpanel instance has an excessive amount of data, you might prefer not to transmit all event data to Madkudu. If your Mixpanel instance does not allow you to finely control HG Insights’ data access, this is regrettably not achievable within our product at this time. In such situations, we recommend utilizing an alternative connector such as a data warehouse (Bigquery, Snowflake) or an Amazon S3 bucket to selectively send your data to us.
