# How to upload a dataset from a CSV in the Data Studio?

You would like to give the Data Studio a try by uploading a CSV file containing some Leads and Conversions? Here is how to do it, to get insights from your data!

# **Step 1: Create a dataset**

1. Duplicate this spreadsheet [template.](https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1DHqc30rp4Q5EdfE-ByIxBG3w25MhlZ_rBvlOfRMWjGU/edit#gid=0)
2. Import your data into the spreadsheet.
  - **email**: email of the lead (if you only have domain, you can add a prefix [info@)](mailto:info@))
  - **target**: 1 if the lead has converted, 0 if the lead has not converted
  - **amount******(optional): the amount of the conversion (opportunity amount)
  - **target_closed_won**: 1 if the lead has converted as Closed Won, 0 if the lead has not converted Closed Won.
    - can default to null if you don't have the information.
  - **amount_closed_won**: the amount of the Closed Won conversion when the lead has converted Closed Won
    - can default to null if you don't have the information.
  - **created_date** (optional)

No transformation or cleaning will be applied to the dataset(s) you upload, therefore make sure there are no null values or your dataset won't be enriched and will be rejected.
3. Download as **.csv file**

# **Step 2: Upload dataset in HG Insights Data Science Studio**

1. Connect to [studio.madkudu.com](https://studio.madkudu.com/)
2. Click **Create** **new model**
3. Enter any **name** you'd like for the model
4. Select******Customer Fit**

5. Click on **Create**
6. The new model is now created
7. Click **Import data**
8. Click **Upload from CSV**

1. **Upload the dataset in both sections of training and validation**
2. Click on **Save audience**

And voilà!

The dataset will be uploaded and HG Insights will start enriching your dataset. You should receive a confirmation email when it's done. Depending on the size of the datasets, it should take a few minutes (if ~100 records) to a few hours (if >10k records).

Once you get the confirmation, click the link in the email and navigate in the model.
