# How to change the relation between Customer Fit Score and Customer Fit Segment in a Point-based model?

This article is only useful for customers who are using a [point based model](/v1/docs/customer-fit-point-based-model).

To make things easier for the end-users of your scoring model (i.e. your Marketing and Sales teams), you may want to use a label, or "segment", instead of a score. For example, does your team know if a score of 20 is a good score because it's 20 out of 30, or if it's a bad score because it's 20 out of 100?

To set the definition of what is a **very good, good, medium or low** score, you can do it in the Data Studio.

## **How to configure the score thresholds for the Customer Fit Segment?**

## Pre-requisites

- You have the permissions of the [Architect or Admin](/v1/docs/user-roles-permissions) role
- You are working on a [point-based model](/v1/docs/customer-fit-point-based-model)

## Step 1: Change the thresholds

1. Open the model you'd like to edit (or duplicate the live model)
2. Go to **Model** > **Thresholds** tab
3. Set the thresholds and click **Save & compute Performance**
4. Iterate on the thresholds to make sure you have a distribution of leads or accounts where 10% are very good, 20% are good, 30% are medium, and 40% are low. This ensures that your team only focuses on 10-30% of qualified accounts.

The **Thresholds** tab allows you to configure the 4 available segments: very good, good, medium, low. You can set the thresholds defining what is the minimum score for each threshold.

For example here, any lead or account with a score

- above 150 (included) will have a customer fit segment **Very good**
- above 80 (included) but strictly below 150 (i.e. between 80 and 149) will have a customer fit segment **Good**
- above 30 (included) but strictly below 80 (i.e. between 30 and 79) will have a customer fit segment **Medium**
- below 30 will have a customer fit segment **Low**

## Step 2: Deploy changes

Keep these considerations in mind when deploying:

1. All your Leads, Contacts, or Accounts that are usually scored by HG Insights will get rescored with the next batch scoring (see when the next **Analysis** then **Sync** process should run in the [Processes Page](/v1/docs/how-to-read-the-processes-page-how-long-does-it-take-for-madkudu-to-score-my-leads-and-accounts).
2. Adding, editing, or deleting thresholds that change a record's score may trigger automated workflows (such as your MQL workflow) in your CRM which are based on the customer fit or lead grade score. This would be out of HG Insights's control.

When you are ready, go to the Deployment tab.

- If the live model you are editing is flagged "Live as Standard", then click the button that reads "deploy as standard fit".
- If the live model you are editing is flagged "Live as Multi-fit" please open a ticket[,](mailto:support@madkudu.com,) and out team will help you with that.
