# HG Insights for Expansion & Upsells

HG Insights can help your Customer Success team to increase business outcomes by **improving expansion and upsell efforts:**

### Run Expansion / Upsell plays

HG Insights assigns **specific and relevant outreach messages to respective customer segment** so every customer gets treated the right way. For Example the ‘Customer with positive NPS score’ gets a feedback prompt while the ‘accounts with increase in users in the last 30 days’ gets a message supporting the onboarding of new users.

This use case is most helpful when:

- your Account Managers don’t have a programmatic way to engage with their respective customers
- upsell / expansion conversations are initiated with either fully manually curated emails or generic outreach and are not effective

### Identify Upsell / Expansion opportunities

HG Insights will **analyze the first and third party signals** and attributes that historically led to a successful outcome. With that you will get a score that allows you to **prioritize your customer account**s that are more likely to upgrade Automate Upsell / Expansion post-sales outreach tasks.

This use case is most helpful when:

- you want to proactively identify upsell opportunities rather than waiting for your customers to raise their hand and ask for an expansion

### Get 360 insights on customer accounts

HG Insights **aggregates all 1st, 2nd and 3rd party engagement signals** both, from your systems as well as from the HG Insights signal catalog and brings that data into a single view right within Salesforce or your Sales Engagement System. **No need for multiple logins, jumping between tabs and losing a lot of time finding relevant information.** This is particularly important for bringing in product engagement data into your Account Management workflow

This use case is most helpful when:

- your sellers are spending a lot of manual effort for their account research. They have to log into different tools and systems to get the information they need to inform their outreach
- product telemetry and usage metrics are either not accessible for sales at all or in dashboards that are hardly readable and require a separate log in
