Why Connect Salesforce

Connecting Salesforce is what activates HG Sales Copilot for your sellers.

Copilot is designed to power seller workflows - provide signals to your sellers via Playbooks, prioritize their accounts, identify users to reach out to, and more. To do this, Copilot needs visibility into your Salesforce users, account ownership, and activities. Connecting Salesforce is required for your reps to take full advantage of Copilot.

What You Get When Salesforce Is Connected

When Salesforce is connected, Copilot becomes fully activated.

Connecting Salesforce is the first step to making sure that for each of your sellers, Copilot knows:

  • Which accounts belong to which rep

  • Who your users are

  • What activity has occurred in your pipeline

This unlocks:

User & Account Ownership Sync

  • Copilot understands reps’ Salesforce account ownership and territories so that each rep gets matches and account recommendations based on their book

What You Get Without Salesforce

If Salesforce is not connected, you can still explore HG’s data universe.

You will have access to our “Universe of Accounts” view, where you can see information about HG’s 16M+ accounts:

  • Company overviews

  • Technographics and competitive footprint data

  • Industry and firmographic information

  • Job postings

Overview of accounts including Amazon.com, Inc. and various government entities.

However, your sellers will not be able to take advantage of the Feed, create or view Playbooks, or use our other Views (such as My Book of Accounts where you can split up reps’ territory by certain signals). You will also not be able to see Activities or Users for the 16M+ accounts.
